The slopes of Kolana Rock enter the ink-black water of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir along the Tuolumne River. Hetch Hetchy is one of the nine reservoirs situated in San Francisco’s water system, and supplies drinking water to the San Francisco Bay Area. This image was taken a short distance from the 111 meter O’Shaughnessy Dam which holds back the reservoir’s capacity.
